Graft-busting is a serious, dangerous work for a public servant, a relevant issue with both political and social underpinnings. Think of the plunder case of former President Estrada, the numerous graft cases of former Military Comptroller Carlos Garcia, and the ZTE anomaly, among others. These are just some of the cases that have rocked the political and social landscape of the country through the years.
